Set with the heart of the Pennines, F & A Walker butchers is a small family business. Established by Fred (Alan's dad) in 1948, it has been run for the last 31 years by Alan and Veronica alongside their own farm where they rear all their own beef. If was always their dream to supply the shop with home-grown produce in order to satisfy customers who appreciate succulent, high quality matured beef. Beef with full traceability from birth to plate, along with the knowledge that it comes farm assured by inspectors who visit both the farm and shop annually. Alan and Veronica take pride in the many years of butchery knowledge and expertise within the team and constantly strive to maintain the highest possible standards across their entire produce range.
They make all their own sausages, burgers, dry cured hams and bacon and source locally produced lamb, pork and chicken. Whatever your requirements, they will do their utmost to provide quality, service and taste second to none. In fact, they guarantee it!
